Provenance a large mansion in Cranleigh, Surrey circa 1830. The rectangular break fronted shelf with multiple stepped edges leads down to a dentil frieze, below which there is centred a high relief carved urn flanked on either side by carved and fluted frieze panels with oval floral design end blocks. The panelled jambs carved in low/high relief lead up to four delicately carved rams' heads.
